Global Filter Opens New Production Facility In Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Expand Production Capacity and Better Support Customers

Global Filter announced today that it will expand its manufacturing footprint into a new facility and headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The new headquarters address is 1201 Continental Pl NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52402. The expansion will bring two previous production sites and offices into one facility. The new headquarters will allow the Global Filter business to grow and increase production capabilities.

The unification of our Global Filter team will streamline our internal communication to provide better support and improved communication to our customers. The new site is 55,000 square feet larger than the combination of our previous two buildings. We have also added new production machinery which includes a new membrane manufacturing line, a new pleater, fully automated rinse, and testing equipment, and we will be upgrading our high-purity water system to support the increased output. The new assets are expected to increase our production capacity by 300%.

New Clean Production

Moving into a larger facility with new equipment and all of Global Filter’s teams in one building will allow us to continue to grow with our customers and support them with greater capabilities. Our goal is to solve process filtration problems while providing the best service and lead time available–with the goal of making the world safer, healthier, and more productive.

“Global Filter is entering our 23rd year in business, and this was our 13th in our existing buildings. We’re thrilled to have completed our move into a combined facility that offers almost three times the space and capacity to match. We’ve also upgraded or duplicated much of our production equipment which allows us to further increase our output, reduce lead times, and take our technical abilities to the next level. This investment illustrates our continued commitment to our employees, our customers, and our desire to always provide the best value in the industry.” says Tony Santacroce, President of Global Filter.

Global Filter employs approximately 60 full-time employees and is looking to hire more for the new headquarters. We will be able to accommodate more than 100 employees from the surrounding community to support the facility, which will manufacture the Global Filter product range. With increased manufacturing capabilities, customers can expect to see order turnaround times back down to 15-30 days by year-end. Faster delivery times mean that customers can reduce their on-hand filter inventory, allowing customers to spend resources where it matters most.
